Honest Legal Services LLC is rooted in a family legacy spanning over 40 years and three generations of dedicated legal assistance. It all began with Marie Hernandez, who founded Preferred Services in 1980. As a family-operated business, Preferred Services began serving the San Gabriel Valley in 1985. Marie’s commitment to empathy, expertise, and efficiency laid the groundwork for comprehensive and accessible legal support.
Building upon this strong foundation, Steve, Marie’s grandson and the Founder of Honest Legal Services LLC, embarked on his legal journey with Preferred Services in 2010 as a legal intern while attending college. Over more than a decade, he gained hands-on experience across multiple legal fields while developing his expertise.
Steve earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice in 2014, fueling his dedication to the legal system and justice. In 2021, he became the Senior Paralegal at Preferred Services, while specializing in unlawful detainers and family law. Through his extensive work with landlords, he was approached with a high demand for property management services from landlords who felt their current property managers were legally inept. Pursuing his entrepreneurial ambitions, he obtained a Master of Business Administration in 2022. Recognizing the evolving needs of clients and the importance of transparency in the legal industry, he established his own company, Honest Legal Services LLC, in 2024.
The company continues Marie’s legacy by combining empathy with expertise. With a focus on quality, efficiency, and honesty, Honest Legal Services LLC offers comprehensive non-attorney legal support and property management services without the barriers of unexpected costs or complicated processes. They are also available for client support virtually 24/7 and believe that when a client has a question or concern, it should be promptly answered or addressed.
